Portland Chase

On the 27th I found an interesting locomotive on a northbound BNSF train in Salem so I chased it to Portland. Also photographed a few other trains along the way. Above and Below: PNWR Salem Switcher pulls some cars past Minto Siding.

The next two shots are in an industrial area between the Portland & Western yard and the Union Pacific mainline.

Camping in the Cascades

Last weekend my family and I headed up to Cleator Bend Campground near Breitenbush Hot Springs a few miles east of Detroit, OR. My parents and brother went up a day before us to get a couple of campsites.

I always find it very relaxing to go into the forest for a few days, sleep in a tent, and just listen and watch everything around me.
